First Glass Wine Options

Winners Congratulations to 'The Number 4 wine tasting team in whole of Kazakhstan' who became the 'Number 1 wine tasting team in New Zealand' when they beat 54 other teams to take the National Wine Options Trophy and the First Glass Wine Options Trophy at this year's event held on Sunday 10th June 2007. The winners from two years ago and last year's third place getters, Richard Lockhart, Michelle Lockhart, Cheryl Lockhart and Rob Wallace (pictured, right) amassed an amazing 175 points and won a bottle of Penfolds Grange each for their efforts.

In second place, with 172 points was Wellington team, "Vaguer and Sillier". Their prize was a four-pack of Riedel glasses and a magnum of Mills Reef Elspeth One 2002, each.

In third place, with 168 points, was 'No more Smacking of Alsace'. Their prize was a magnum of Pol Roger Champagne each. As the top trade / hospitality team, representing Delegats Wines, they also won the Louis Roederer Trophy and bottles of Louis Roederer Champagne.
