2010 Wine Options WinnersCongratulations to Nick Jones, Robyn Jones Martin Pickering and James Porter, winners of the First Glass Wines Options held in Auckland on Sunday 27th June 2010.
Representing Mudbrick Vineyard on Waiheke Island and competing with the team name Racked & Ruined, they also won the fiercely competed Louis Roederer Trophy for Top Trade Team on the day.

It was a close competition with two teams tied for 1st place on 157 points, after all the wines had been tasted.  A sudden-death taste-off resulted in the Mudbrick team taking out First Place.

The winners each received a bottle of Penfolds Grange to go with their title of First Glass Champions, as well as Louis Roederer Champagne as Top Trade Team.  It is the first time Louis Roederer Trophy winners have also won the overall competition.

Forty-one teams contested the 2010 competition.

In second place, on 157 points, was "One last shot 4 glory" - John Ingle, Gabor Sareczky, Bruce Thomason and Curt Thomas.

In third place, on 152 points, was "Tigernello & his Sassi-0rne-liars". This team also represented the Mudbrick Vineyard.
